Texas Tech selected to finish seventh in Big 12, tied with Iowa State

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 announced the 2016-17 Women's Basketball Preseason Poll Wednesday afternoon, with the Lady Raiders selected to finish seventh in conference play.
Baylor was selected as the preseason favorite for the seventh time in conference history to win the regular season title, voted by the league's coaches. The Bears received nine first-place votes while Texas received the other first-place vote and second overall.
This is the highest Big 12 preseason ranking for the Lady Raiders under Head Coach Candi Whitaker.
