Men’s Basketball Set for Big 12 Media Day on Tuesday

Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard is scheduled to be at the podium at 9:15 a.m. CT on Tuesday in Kansas City courtesy of the Big 12 Digital Network at www.Big12Sports.com.
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's basketball program will appear at 2016 Big 12 Media Day on Tuesday at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Texas Tech will be represented by head coach Chris Beard along with Keenan Evans, Anthony Livingston, Aaron Ross and Zach Smith at the annual media event. The Big 12 Digital Network available at www.Big12Sports.com will carry a live stream of Coach Beard's press conference at 9:15 a.m. CT.
The Red Raiders were selected to finish in a seventh place tie with Oklahoma State in the Big 12 preseason poll released by the conference office earlier this month.
Texas Tech returns five players who started 10-plus games from last year's team which turned in a 19-13 overall record and 9-9 mark in Big 12 action. The nine conference victories were the most for Texas Tech dating back to the 2006-07 season when Beard served as an assistant coach.
More season tickets have already been sold for 2016-17 than all of last season. Fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets now to reserve the best available seats. Season tickets are on-sale and feature affordable payment plans along with a family four-pack of season tickets starting at $199 in designated general admission sections and reserved season tickets for as low as $199.
