Texas Tech Cross Country Travels to South Plains Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas – Competing for the Red Raiders are freshman Natalie Parks, redshirt freshman Lauren Schiller, sophomore Lauren Younger, redshirt freshman Grant Laselle and freshman Riley Gonzales.
On the women's side, Parks and Younger will be competing in the SPC Invitational as their third race of the season. Parks finished her last 6K at the Texas Tech Open in 26:18.3 and Younger with a time of 25:37.6. Saturday will stand as Schiller's second race of the season as she ran her last 6K in a time of 26:21.0 also at the Texas Tech Open.
As for the men, Saturday will mark LaSelle's second meet of the season, yet his first 8K this year. Gonzales has competed in three meets this season with his last 8K at the Texas Tech Open where he posted a time of 28:49.4.
Running unattached in the race are: Stephen Alvarez, Kate Halloran, Allison Halloran, Kassidi Jones, Justin King, Reagan Mead, Cody Miller, Matt Munoz and Cutter Oglesby.    Â
The women's 5K will take place at 10:45 a.m. with the men's 8K to follow at 11:15 a.m.
