Red Raiders complete XC NCAA Championships

Titus Kimaru placed 40th to earn All-American honors in his first nationals appearance
COLUMBIA, Mo. – A trio of Texas Tech cross country runners wrapped up their season at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships at the Gans Creek Course Saturday morning.

Titus Kimaru paced the way for Tech as he placed 40th with a PB 10k time of 29:07.2. Kimaru, in his first NCAA cross country championship, earns All-America honors, which is given to the top 40 runners in the field. The field of men's runners today consisted of 261. Victor Kipkoech, also competing in the event for the first time, finished 69th with a PB time of 29:25.
Lily Mather, making her debut as well in the meet, finished 176th with a 6k time of 20:25.
With the completion of the cross country season, the Red Raiders will now turn their attention to the indoor season as the first meet kicks off on Dec. 6 at Boston University. Tech will send a small group of distance runners as they will try to qualify early 3k and 5k races. Â
