XC trio set for NCAA Nationals Saturday morning

It’s the second-straight year three Red Raiders participate in the meet as individuals
LUBBOCK, Texas – Titus Kimaru, Victor Kipkoech and Lily Mather will represent Texas Tech at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country National Championships Saturday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
The women's 6k race will kick off the meet beginning at 9:20 a.m. CT as the men's 10k race will follow right after at 10:10 a.m. CT.

Kimaru has paced the men's squad throughout the season. In his first 10k race at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championship, he turned in a time of 30:13.6 to finish ninth overall. Meanwhile, Kipkoech, turned some heads as he placed 13th with a 10k time of 30:22.1
When it comes to the women's team, Mather has been the leader from the start. In five 6k races this season, she's finished inside the top 30 and holds a PB time of 20:04.1. At the mountain regional, her time of 21:07.4 was good enough for 24th as she secured one of the final individuals at-large selections.
The top 40 runners in Saturday's race will earn All-American honors.
