Four players score 10+ points in Wednesday night’s win
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders powered past Central Arkansas, 79-45, to stay undefeated at home this season.

The Lady Raiders (6-3) held Central Arkansas (6-2) to less than 10 points in the first and second quarters of the game and 15 points in the first half, the fewest points allowed in a half this season.

Central Arkansas opened with the first two points of the game and only led for 1:01 before the Lady Raiders jumped out to a 13-8 lead to end the first quarter.

From there, the Lady Raiders went on to score 22 points in the second quarter while holding the Sugar Bears to just seven, extending the lead to 35-15 at the half.

It was all Lady Raiders after the half as they scored 20+ points in three of the four quarters. Tech has scored 20+ points in 16 of the 36 quarters played this season.

Four Lady Raiders scored 10+ points in Wednesday night's win. Two or more Lady Raiders have scored double-figures in all nine games this season.

Freshman Arella Guirantes led the team with a career-high 22 points. Senior guard Ivonne CookTaylor followed with 16 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals. Junior Larryn Brooks tied a career-high 15 points as she went 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.
