MAHOMES NOTCHES ANOTHER 400-YARD PASSING GAME ON 21ST BIRTHDAY
•            Patrick Mahomes II celebrated his 21st birthday in style Saturday night as he was 26-of-36 for 470 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 37 rushing yards off 12 carries and a touchdown. It marked the 16th time in his career where Mahomes has recorded at least 300 passing yards. This is the eighth time where he has passed for at least 400 yards.
•            Mahomes has totaled a career-high tying six touchdowns responsible for during all three games this season. The 18 touchdowns responsible for through three games is tied with Louisville's Lamar Jackson for the most in the nation and the most for a FBS player since 1996. Â
•            Mahomes reached the 300-yard passing mark before halftime for the third-straight game as he was 18-of-24 for 333 yards and four touchdowns. In three games this year, Mahomes is 64-for-87 overall for 1,099 yards and 14 total touchdowns (11 passing, 3 rushing) in the first half alone.
•            Mahomes' second touchdown pass of the night - a 36-yarder to Jonathan Giles - pushed the junior past Taylor Potts (2007-10) for fourth all-time on the Tech career passing touchdown chart. He now has 66 passing touchdowns in his two-plus seasons.
•            In addition, Mahomes also moved into third place for touchdowns responsible for as he passed Seth Doege (2009-12) early in the first quarter. Mahomes is now responsible for 80 touchdowns during his Texas Tech career.
GILES RECORDS OVER150 RECEIVING YARDS, THREE TOUCHDOWNS IN FIRST HALF ALONE
•            Jonathan Giles notched his first career 100-yard receiving game within the first 15 minutes of tonight's game as he finished with six catches for a career-high 186 yards and three touchdowns. His three touchdown receptions mark the first time a Red Raider has hauled in three or more touchdown passes since Bradley Marquez did so against No. 5 Baylor on November 29, 2014. He is the first Red Raider to record at least 150 receiving yards since Jakeem Grant recorded 178 yards versus No. 12 Oklahoma State on October 31, 2015.
•            Giles' first touchdown of the game came on a 64-yard strike midway through the opening quarter. It marked the longest reception of his career.
FELTON REACHES 100-YARD MARK FOR FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER
•            Demarcus Felton reached the 100-yard mark for the first time in his career tonight as the sophomore finished with 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. He is the first Red Raider rusher to reach the 100-yard mark this season.
•            In addition, Felton recorded his first career multi-touchdown game as he scored Texas Tech's first touchdown of the night on a 12-yard rush in the opening quarter. He added his second touchdown with 14:21 left in the game on a eight-yard rush up the middle.
NOTING THE RED RAIDERS
•            Douglas Coleman notched a career-high with five tackles for the Red Raiders. He also secured his first career sack during the second quarter.Â
•            Dylan Cantrell found the endzone for the third-straight game with 12:04 remaining before halftime as he caught a 9-yard touchdown from Mahomes. His three touchdowns already this season mark the most in his career. He came close to his first 100-yard receiving game of his career after finishing with a career-best 81 yards on a career-high tying six catches.
•            Clayton Hatfield connected on his third field goal of the season and the 15th of his career on a successful 24-yard attempt with 7:10 remaining in the game. He is now 13-for-16 on field goal attempts during his Red Raider career.
•            Jordyn Brooks, in just his third collegiate game as a true freshman, finished with seven tackles. The performance followed his performance at Arizona State where he had a season-high 10 tackles.
