BIG 12 TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Sophomore Andrew Hudson had a standout performance last week in Arkansas that earned him Big 12 Track & Field Athlete of the Week. This marked the fourth-straight opening indoor meet that a Red Raider has earned the conference accolade. The sophomore sprinter had impressive marks in both the 60-meter and 200-meter races earning him top spots in the NCAA this season. Hudson's 20.80 200m time pushed him to the No. 2 mark in the world so far this season and No.1 in the NCAA. The 6.68 60m mark did not gain him global recognition however it did allow him the No. 5 mark amongst NCAA performances this season. Last year at the A&M Quadrangular, Hudson paced the 60-meter race with a third place finishing time of 6.82... a mark he improved by .14 seconds last week and will look to improve on even more.
