LAWRENCE, Kan. – A last-quarter burst wasn't enough for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders as they dropped a 66-60 heartbreaker to Kansas Saturday afternoon in Lawrence.

Kansas (7-14, 1-9 Big 12) jumped out to a 13-4 lead to open the first quarter. Texas Tech (11-9, 3-6 Big 12) made a comeback on an 8-2 run to pull within three (15-12) at the first break.

The Jayhawks hit 76 percent from the field while holding the Lady Raiders to shooting 42 percent in the third.

Texas Tech tried to make the most out of a 21-point fourth quarter, but that wasn't enough to overcome Kansas' lead.

Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures against the Jayhawks. Tech has had two or more players with 10+ points in 18 of the 20 games played.

Senior Ivonne CookTaylor led the team for the second-straight game with 14 points and eight rebounds. Junior Jada Terry also scored 14 points of her own while Larryn Brooks scored 11 points for the Lady Raiders.
