Texas Tech concluded conference tournament on Saturday
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders wrapped up the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship after falling to Baylor, 95-63, in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Baylor (29-2) jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first quarter, but a 7-2 run by the Lady Raiders (14-17) cut the Lady Bears lead to 10 at the end of the first quarter.

Tech hit six three-pointers in the second quarter, tying a school record for most three's scored beyond the arc in a single period. The Lady Raiders hit five straight treys in the final two minutes, sparked by sophomore Recee' Caldwell, to cut Baylor's lead to 45-36 heading into the half.

Freshman Arella Guirantes hit three straight three-pointers coming out of the half to break up momentum for the Lady Bears, but that wasn't enough to keep Baylor at bay.

Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures against the Lady Bears. Caldwell led the team with 21 points. The game marked her 10th 20-point game of the season and second straight. Caldwell scored 14 of her 21 points in the second quarter, mostly coming from four straight three-pointers.

Guirantes scored 15 points in her 14th double-digit game of the season. She went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, scoring all three consecutively to open the third quarter.

Junior Larryn Brooks followed with 12 points of her own, marking her fourth straight double-digit game. With a 2-for-2 showing at the free throw line, Brooks has made 17 of her last 17 free throws.
