Lady Raiders defeat TCU in non-conference match
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team swept TCU, 4-0, in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Raiders (8-3) clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Doubles duo Sabrina Federici and Sarah Dvorak defeated TCU's Donika Bashota and Caroline Wegner, 6-1.
TCU responded with a 6-4 win on court two, before Alex Valenstein and Alba Cortina-Pou earned a tiebreak win, 7-6 (7-2).
In singles play, Felicity Maltby won in two quick sets, 6-3, 6-2, over Bashota to put the Lady Raiders ahead, 2-0. Valenstein followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win on court four just before Gabriela Talaba clinched the sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court one.

The Lady Raiders will host No. 29 Rice on tomorrow at the McLeod Tennis Center. The match will start at noon.
