Women’s Tennis Clinches Regular Season Finale Win

Texas Tech stays undefeated at home, first time since 2012 season
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 7 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team clinched their 10th sweep of the season with a 4-0 win over New Mexico to close out regular season play.
The Lady Raiders (21-4) ended the season with a 10-0 record at home, marking the first undefeated home season since 2012.
Doubles duo Felicity Maltby and Gabriela Talaba defeated Emily Olivier and Diana Wong, 6-2, on court two before Alex Valenstein and Lynn Kiro clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win on court three over Ludivine Burguiere and Cassie Chung.
In singles play, No. 9 Talaba earned her fifth straight win with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Burguiere to put the Lady Raiders up 2-0.
Valenstein claimed her 14th win of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 win on court three.
Junior Sabrina Federici won her 15th straight match of the season to clinch the win for the Lady Raiders with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Rachana Bhat on court five.
