Lady Raiders Run Ends at ITA Texas Regionals

Francesca Sella bows out of regional tournament

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Lady Raider Tennis newcomer Francesca Sella's run came to an end at the ITA Texas Regionals on Sunday.

As the final Lady Raider competing in the tournament, Sella fell to No. 1 seed Anna Turati (UT) in straight sets (6-0, 6-1).

Texas Tech closed out the tournament with 11 singles wins and five doubles wins on the weekend. Sella led the way with four victories on her way to the semifinals.

The Lady Raiders continue fall play at the Vanderbilt Duals next weekend in Nashville, Tenn.
