Red Raiders Fall in Tulsa

Doubles partners will aim to bounce back after first round loss to No. 16 Virginia Tech
TULSA, Okla. – The Texas Tech duo of Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn were defeated in the opening round of the doubles main draw at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championship on Thursday.
Thomson and Wynn, who came into the tournament as the No. 42 ranked doubles team in the nation, fell behind 5-7 in the first set before firing back with a 6-2 victory in the second. The third set would eventually be won by Donato and Harper of Virginia Tech by a score of 6-10.
Tech will still participate in the event, as Thomson and Wynn will have an opportunity to climb the consolation ladder back into the main draw. Tech's next opponent is the No. 9 ranked tandem of Ortiz and Osama of Alabama. The match will be played on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
