Women’s Tennis Sweeps Competition at ASU, UNLV

Texas Tech wins nine matches on day one of ASU, UNLV tournaments
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team picked up nine wins at the Arizona State Thunderbird tournament and UNLV Rebel Invitational.
At the ASU Thunderbird tournament, Francesca Sella, Denise-Antonela Stoica, Sydney Jones and Nell Miller picked up singles victories against the University of California student-athletes. Sella, Stoica and Jones earned their wins in straight sets while Miller forced a third.
In doubles action, Miller and Jones snagged a 6-2 win over Pepperdine's Milovanovic and Iamachkine while Sella and Stoica picked up a 6-2 victory over Lekaj and Alicea (Pepperdine).
At the Rebel Invitational, Kennedy Bridgforth and Lana Rush both defeated their opponents in straight sets to advance to the semifinal rounds in each of their flights. The two paired up to defeat a duo from Iowa (6-4), clinching a spot in the doubles flight one semifinals.
The Lady Raiders return to the courts on Saturday at both tournaments.
