Tech To Have 31 Games On Television In 2018

Texas Tech will broadcast 10 contests through third-tier network on FOX Sports
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech baseball will have 10 home games on television broadcasts through its third-tier agreement with FOX Sports, bringing the season's total of TV contests to 31 over the 2018 season.

Tech's series opener against South Alabama kicks off the 10-game package, with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch on FOX Sports Southwest Plus. After the five-game home stand, all nine of the spring break road games will be televised, as all three dates with Kentucky will air on SEC Network Plus & both contests against Louisville on ACC Network Plus. The Big 12 opening set at Baylor will be featured on the FOX Sports family of networks as well, with the series opener on FOX College Sports (March 16), the second game on FOX Sports Southwest (March 17) and the finale on FSSW+ (March 18).

As announced a few weeks ago by the Big 12, Tech's second game against West Virginia on Friday, March 30, will air on FOX Sports 1 at 6:30 p.m. Through the third-tier agreement, all three contests will be televised, with Thursday's matchup on FSSW on 6:30 p.m., and Saturday's finale on March 31 at 2 p.m. on FSSW+.

Tech's three games in Lawrence against Kansas (April 6-8) will air on ESPN, while the first and last games at home against Kansas State will be broadcast on FSSW+ (April 13) and FSSW (April 15). The following weekend set against Oklahoma in Lubbock will feature three games on the FOX Sports networks. The series opener & finale (April 20 & 22) will air on FSSW+, with the middle game on FSSW (April 21).

The next road trip will be televised as well, as both games in Fayetteville against Arkansas will be on SEC Network Plus (April 24) and the SEC Network (April 25). Just like last season, this year's series against TCU in Fort Worth will air on both platforms, as the opener on Friday, April 27, is scheduled for an 8 p.m. first pitch on FS1. The Saturday (7 p.m.) & Sunday (1 p.m.) contests will be shown on ESPNU.

Tech's last Big 12 series against Texas will also have all three games on TV, with the series opener & finale (May 4 & 6) on FSSW+ and the middle matchup (May 5) on ESPNU.

The Red Raiders will wrap the regular season with a pair of games against Oklahoma State (May 17-18) on FOX Sports Southwest Plus, and the finale on FOX Sports Oklahoma.

As always, all home games not be televised can be streamed live through TexasTech.TV on TexasTech.com, including Friday's season opener against Maine on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m.
