Texas Tech defeats Iowa State to stay perfect on the road
AMES, Iowa – In the regular season finale, the No. 13 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team captured a 4-0 sweep over Iowa State on Sunday morning.

Texas Tech (18-5, 7-2 Big 12) completed its perfect season on the road with a 9-0 record. Iowa State drops to 9-16, 0-9 in Big 12 play.

The Lady Raiders raced to finish doubles first. Alex Valenstein and Katelyn Jackson defeated Annabella Bonadonna and Karen Alvarez, 6-1, just before 18th-ranked Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win on court one.

Tech went undefeated in all six first sets before Jackson made quick work on court six. Jackson only gave up one game to Alvarez en route to her fifth straight win.

Dvorak gave the Lady Raiders a 3-0 lead as she defeated Bonadonna (6-0, 6-2) in straight sets. Dvorak is now 11-4 in dual matches

Junior Felicity Maltby clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win on court three over Regina Espindola.

The Lady Raiders head to the Big 12 Championship this weekend in Austin. As the no. 3 seed, Texas Tech will begin play on Friday at 3 p.m. against no. 6 seed Kansas State.
