Texas Tech hosts Lamar at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon inside Jones AT&T Stadium
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech fans will notice several new elements related to the gameday experience when they step through the Jones AT&T Stadium gates Saturday afternoon to watch the Red Raiders face Lamar.

Texas Tech Athletics strives to provide fans one of the best gameday experiences in the country with improvements for this season including new items at concession stands and water refueling stations across the concourse.

Here's a list of items to know for Saturday's game:

TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SEASON OPENER
Tickets for Saturday's game are still available through the Texas Tech Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets either by visiting the online ticket portal at TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH. The Tech Ticket Office will open its main location on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Fans can also visit the two other box office locations located near Gate 1 and 3 of the stadium (northwest and southwest corners).

GAMEDAY TIMELINE
Premium areas and the student gate will open at 1 p.m. Saturday, while the remaining gates to Jones AT&T Stadium are slated to open at 1:30 p.m. for ticket holders. Fans are encouraged to find their seats prior to the Goin' Band from Raiderland's entrance, which is slated to begin at roughly 2:50 p.m.

DOUBLE DAVE'S, NEW ITEMS HIGHLIGHT IMPROVEMENTS TO CONCESSION AREAS
Double Dave's will be the official pizza provider inside Jones AT&T Stadium this season with stands available around the concourse. Other new items in concession stands this year include hickory smoked turkey legs, Louisiana Cajun hot links, hand-cut ribeye sandwiches, fried chicken baskets, foot-long chili cheese dogs topped with Fritos and fried onions, green chili cheese burgers, pork rib baskets and penne-style ham focaccia sandwiches.

STAY COOL WITH REFUELING STATIONS
Fans will once again be allowed to bring an unopened 20 ounce (or less) bottle of water into any outdoor athletics venue on campus this year. Please note that frozen water will not be allowed through the stadium gates. Empty cups, opened bottles and other drinking containers other than 20 ounce (or less) bottles will not be permitted as well.

In addition, Texas Tech has installed water stations throughout the concourse area for fans to refuel water bottles throughout the game. Texas Tech will continue to have cooling stations on the concourse to assist fans with heat-related issues. These stations will be shaded and stocked with cold towels, circulating fans and sun screen.

THEME GAMES
Texas Tech's home docket will once again feature several themes during the 2018 season. Here's a rundown of the special theme games for this season:
CATCH THE RED RAIDERS ON THEIR WAY TO WARMUPSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Red Raiders will continue to utilize the walkway between the Sports Performance Center and Jones AT&T Stadium to access their gameday locker room roughly 85 minutes to kickoff. Coach Kingsbury and the Red Raiders will walk directly through the Sports Performance Center and enter the stadium through the doors directly under the Double T scoreboard. Fans are invited to greet the Red Raiders as they enter the stadium beginning around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Texas Tech's clear bag policy will remain in effect for all athletic venues during the 2018-19 athletic year. Fans will be able to bring the following style and size bag or package into the venue:
Raider Village, the official pregame tailgate area of Texas Tech Athletics, will return for its second season in the heart of campus with reservations available for personal tailgating packages. Raider Village will open to the public at 8 a.m. on gameday, featuring an all-new beer garden concept and game-watching area for this season. For more information regarding Raider Village, please contact Tailgate Express at 806-789-7085.

LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL COLISEUM TO BE USED IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
In cases of inclement weather, Texas Tech advises fans in the tailgate areas to take shelter inside the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The coliseum will open in case of inclement weather for every home game this season. Fans should stay tuned in to Double T 97.3 FM on the radio and @TexasTechFB on Twitter for weather updates, if needed. As a reminder, umbrellas are not permitted inside Jones AT&T Stadium.

- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
