Mylnikov Nets Big 12 Player of the Week Honors

The senior from Manitoba, Canada collects the award for the first time in his career
IRVING, Texas –Texas Tech men's tennis senior Tommy Mylnikov has been selected as the Big 12 Player of the Week for his performances against Lamar and New Mexico on Sunday.
Mylnikov, after beginning the year at 0-1 in singles play, has rattled off two individual wins in a row, beginning with a three set comeback victory against Tulsa in what would become a critical point for the Red Raiders, who won their match, 4-3.
On Sunday, Mylnikov dominated his way to a straight set decision over No. 23 Ricky Hernandez-Tong of New Mexico on court one, as he served up an ace on match point to secure the singles point at a final clip of 6-4 and 6-2.
He, along with doubles partner Jackson Cobb, also provided Tech with another point by defeating their duos opponents by a count of 6-3.
