Red Raiders Close Play at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge

DALLAS, Texas – Texas Tech men's tennis junior Justin Bloss wrapped up play at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge at SMU on Sunday.

After a tough loss in the consolation semifinals on Saturday, Bloss matched up with Alexander Richards of Wichita State in his final match of the weekend on Sunday morning. Richards would go on to defeat Bloss, 6-2, 6-1, and put an end to the Red Raider's tournament.

Bloss was competing at the tournament alongside Texas Tech junior Ilgiz Valiev. Both Red Raiders earned a singles win apiece on the weekend, while also teaming up for a first-round doubles win to advance to the round of 16.

Texas Tech seniors Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn will hit the court next for the Red Raiders beginning on Nov. 6 when they serve up play at the ITA Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif.
