Brewer Earns Second-Straight Big 12 Honor

LUBBOCK, Texas – For the second consecutive week, Lady Raider basketball senior Brittany Brewer has been named Big 12 Player of the Week. It marks Brewer's third career Big 12 weekly honor, and second this season after earning Co-Big 12 Player of the Week last week.

Brewer turned in another massive effort in the Texas Tech win over Ole Miss in the program's first-ever Big 12/SEC Challenge last week. Brewer scored 22 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in her fifth double-double in six games this season.

With 34 blocks and 5.67 blocks per game, Brewer is the nation's leader in rejections. Wednesday's game also marked her fourth game this season with 15+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ blocks.

The 84-48 win over the Rebels stands as the largest margin of victory in any women's Big 12/SEC Challenge game to date.

Brewer and the Lady Raiders return to the court this Sunday, Dec. 15, at noon to host Houston Baptist.
