'Red Raider Basketball With Chris Beard' Airs Live Tonight at Rudy's

LUBBOCK, Texas – "Red Raider Basketball with Chris Beard" returns for its fourth week at 7 p.m. tonight live from Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q with host Geoff Haxton.
Beard and Haxton are in their fourth year together on the show and will preview Saturday's matchup at No. 3 Kansas and recap Wednesday's win over No. 12 West Virginia. The Red Raiders (13-7, 4-3 Big 12) will play their third straight ranked opponent when they take on the Jayhawks (17-3, 6-1 Big 12) at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas. Â
Texas Tech improved to 10-2 at home this season with its 89-81 win over the Mountaineers on Wednesday night at the United Supermarkets Arena with Davide Moretti scoring a career-high 25 points. Terrence Shannon, Jr. added 23 points and Jahmi'us Ramsey went for 21 in a game where the Red Raiders made 11 of 17 3-pointers and owned a 32-23 rebounding advantage over WVU. The Jayhawks are currently on a five-game winning streak that includes a 65-50 win at Oklahoma State on Monday night.Â
The Red Raiders are coming off their most historic season in program history when they won the Big 12 regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA Final Four and NCAA National Championship Final.
Fans attending Thursday's show will have an opportunity to receive game tickets, promotional items and interact with Beard. In his fourth season leading the program, Beard is 89-38 overall, 60-7 at home and is the reigning Associated Press National Coach of the Year along with being named the Big 12 Coach of the Year the past two seasons. Beard will be joined this week by assistant coach Brian Burg.
