Red Raiders Post Strong Final Day in Fort Worth

Doubles duo of Parker Wynn and Ilgiz Valiev went 2-1 during Big 6 Fall Invitational
"I am really pleased with the way our guys competed this weekend. The opportunity to play, and succeed, against this type of competition really helps us prepare for down the road. We have a lot to be excited about going into the spring season"Â
The doubles matches were highlighted by the duo of Parker Wynn and Ilgiz Valiev who went 2-1 on the weekend defeating Harper/Huang of Texas in their final match tallying a score of 8-7. Â
Junior Issac Arevalo had a strong performance this weekend on the singles side, as he took two wins defeating Martin of TCU 6-1, 6-0 and Texas's Leighton Allen 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Sophomore Reed Collier and Parker Wynn also saw some success this weekend. Collier picked up a close win to against Oklahoma's Sheehy 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 on his way to a 2-1 record. Â
The Red Raiders will travel to College Station next weekend to play in the Texas A&M Intercollegiate Tennis Association Fall Circuit Nov. 13-15.Â
