LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team wraps up its nonconference schedule this Tuesday when it plays host to Incarnate Word. The Lady Raiders and Cardinals are set for a 1 p.m. tipoff at United Supermarkets Arena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The game is game one of a doubleheader with the men's team, as the Red Raiders are set to tip off against the Cardinals at 6 p.m.

LADY RAIDER QUICK HITS
- Lady Raider seniors Vivian Gray and Lexi Gordon each finished with 20-plus points in last week's win over Southern. It marked the first time since the game at Oklahoma last season that two Texas Tech players each had 20 or more points. Gray finished with 22 points and Gordon finished with 25 to lead the team.

- Junior sharpshooter Najé Murray has found her stroke in her last two games. After going 5-of-17 (29 percent) over her first five games, the San Diego State transfer has hit 5-of-11 (45.5 percent) over her last two games. Murray, who made her first start as a Lady Raider in last week's win over Southern, has contributed on the boards for Tech as well, averaging 6.5 boards per game over the last two games.

- Lady Raider freshman Khadija Faye made her first collegiate appearance last week against Southern after missing the first six games of the season to play overseas at the FIBA Afrobasket U18 Championships. In her first college game, Faye scored six points, four rebounds and a block in only 16 minutes.

- Through seven games, two Lady Raiders have posted double-doubles so far this season. Senior Lexi Gordon recorded the fourth double-double of her career last Monday, recording 25 points and 11 rebounds--both season highs. It follows Vivian Gray's 15-point, 10-rebound double-double against TCU.

- The Lady Raiders and Cardinals will be meeting for only the third time in the two teams' histories when the pair of in-state opponents clash on Tuesday.
- Tech has won both meetings in the series, which dates back to 2015. The most recent game in the series was played in 2017--an 80-54 Texas Tech victory.
- Both games between the Lady Raiders and Cardinals have been played in Lubbock.

The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team took care of business on Monday, defeating Southern, 79-60, at United Supermarkets Arena to head into the holiday break with on a two-game win streak. The Lady Raiders (5-2, 1-1 Big 12) led wire to wire in the win, using a 13-0 run in the first half to create a double-digit lead the team wouldn't relinquish.

Tech was led by a pair of 20-point scorers in Lexi Gordon and Vivian Gray. Gordon posted her first double-double of the season in a 25-point, 10-rebound outing that also included two steals and two blocks. Gray had 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the win.

Seven of nine Lady Raiders to see the floor on Monday afternoon scored points for Tech to help push the Scarlet and Black to victory. Khyla Wade-Warren tied her career high with 10 points. In her first start as a Lady Raider, Najé Murray had eight points, five rebounds and a pair of assists. Bryn Gerlich had eight assists to tie her career high.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS
The UIW Cardinals come into Tuesday's matchup with the Lady Raiders at 2-2 and winners of two-straight games after picking up wins over UTSA and Sul Ross earlier this month to follow up season-opening defeats at TCU (59-84) and UTEP (63-67). The Cardinals are led by junior forward Starr Omozee, who leads the team in scoring (11.8 ppg), rebounding (5.8 rpg) and assists (2.0 ppg). As a team, UIW is holding opponents to 16.7 percent shooting from outside the arc, which ranks second in the country. Head coach Jeff Dow is in his second season at the helm of the UIW program.
