Lady Raiders Set to Compete in Third Annual WBCA Showcase

Texas Tech will face North Carolina, Purdue and USF in the three-day event
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lady Raiders are headed to Walt Disney World Resort for the third annual WBCA Showcase, the association announced Tuesday afternoon.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 19-22 at the State Farm Field House inside ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. Head coach Krista Gerlich and the Lady Raiders will play three games during the showcase, opening against North Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. CT. The team will then face Purdue on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1:30 p.m. CT before wrapping up the weekend against USF on Sunday, Nov. 22, at noon CT.
The showcase features seven other programs: Alabama, Florida A&M, Florida State, North Carolina, Purdue, UCF and USF, playing seven games over three days.
Texas Tech's opening game against North Carolina will mark the first meeting between the two programs. The Lady Raiders will then look to earn their first win over Purdue after dropping both previous matchups, most recently in 2014.
The weekend concludes with the fourth all-time meeting between Texas Tech and USF. The Bulls hold a 2-1 edge in the series, though the programs have not faced each other since the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Tickets for the event are on sale now exclusively through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $25. All tickets must be purchased online through Ticketmaster and will be delivered digitally. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the State Farm Field House box office on game days.
