The Lady Raiders look to bounce back from a tough loss at West Virginia on Saturday night. Tech enters the midweek contest with the Bears at 15-8 overall on the year, already having surpassed last season's win total.
Â
Second-year Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings boasts a deep team. Led by Brittany Brewer, who ranks second in the nation in blocks and is averaging a double-double, and 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, Texas Tech has already experienced plenty of success in 2020 which the team will look to build on over the final month of the season. The Lady Raiders finished the nonconference schedule undefeated for the first time in eight seasons at 11-0. Additionally, led by 29 points from Andrayah Adams, Tech picked up its first overtime win in four years last month, knocking off Big 12 foe Oklahoma.
Â
EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Baylor Lady Bears (23-1, 12-0 Big 12) enter Tuesday's game ranked No. 2 in the country and on a 16-game win streak. Baylor ranks fourth in the country in scoring offense, averaging 83.6 points per game. As a team, the Bears are beating opponents by an average of 33.1 points per game to lead the nation. Guard DiDi Richards leads the Big 12 in assists per game, dishing out 5.5 helpers per game. Juicy Landrum is one of the top three-point shooters in the country, shooting at a 45.3 percent clip this season to rank eighth nationally and first in the conference. Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey is in her 20th season at the helm of the Lady Bear program.

LADY RAIDER STORYLINES
- Last season, the Lady Raiders completed the second-biggest turnaround of any Power Five team, doubling their previous year's win total to 14. In Wednesday's victory over Kansas, Texas Tech continued its impressive turnaround and surpassed that win total, getting win No. 15 in just 22 games.
Â
- Senior Brittany Brewer was named one of the top 10 centers in the country on Friday as she was selected as one of 10 midseason candidates for the Lisa Leslie Award, the The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced.
Â
- Brittany Brewer has a chance to break the program single-season blocks record this season. With 99 through 23 games, Brewer is just six away from tying Cisti Greenwalt for the program record. If the senior is able to reach 100, she'll be just the second player in program history to reach that mark.
Â
- Texas Tech turned in an impressive performance last month, scoring the most points on No. 2 Baylor of anyone this season. The Lady Raiders hit 12 three's on the Bears--the most Baylor has allowed since their 2019 Final Four game against Oregon--and gave Baylor its closest game in Waco in three seasons.
