Opening Statement...
"We want to thank our fans. We had a great turnout again tonight, over 5,000. We are top 20 in the nation in attendance so, I am really proud of how we are continually building our fan base back. And just proud of our team and our fight. Baylor is an incredible team. I think they are a team that can win the national championship again. They are just top to bottom, extremely loaded. We battled with them two games here now and I couldn't be more proud of our fight. Disappointed certainly in our loss, we are not into moral victories around here and we will never be. We couldn't put the ball in the basket in the 4th quarter and that really led to our demise in a lot of ways. We did out-rebound them, they are leading the conference, out-rebounding people by about 15 a game and we out-rebounded them by 1 which, again is credit to our team's heart and effort and fight during the game."
Texas Tech Forward, Brittany Brewer
On the game against Baylor…
"I knew that I would have a lot of more one on one opportunities, just because they do have other Bigs they can depend on to guard. I definitely prefer the one on one [because] I knew I had to be aggressive and tact."
Texas Tech Guard, Lexi Gordon
On the game against Baylor…
"I felt like we needed a fight. We can't look at who we're playing, we just gotta play our game and be able to just fight. Play our game and be successful at it, up until the fourth quarter, is what we needed to do, we just needed to finish it off."
Texas Tech Guard, Sydney Goodson
On the game against Baylor…
"We have to take this mentality in the last five games, we gotta come out swinging and come out to fight, that mentality is going to be huge for us."
