THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Texas Tech junior women's golfer Sofia Garcia shot a final-round best 5-under on Tuesday to tie for seventh place as the Red Raiders finished the Icon Invitational in ninth at The Woodlands Country Club.

The Red Raiders finished outside of the top eight for just the second time this season following rounds of 297, 292 and 291 for a 54-hole tally of 880. Tech concluded play just five shots back of a tie for seventh.
Tech also had a top-20 finish with Anna Dong's performance this week, as the sophomore shot 73 in the final round to tie for 20th at 3-over for the tournament.
Gala Dumez and Amy Taylor rounded out play in a tie for 51st and 54th, respectively. Dumez finalized play at 10-over, while Taylor rounded out team scoring for the Red Raiders at 11-over. Cecilie Nielsen went 2-over in the final round and tied for 65th at 16-over overall.
