Thomson Notches Third CoSIDA Academic All-District Nod

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech senior men's tennis player Bjorn Thomson earned a selection to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday, May 21.
The nomination is the third in Thomson's career, all of which have been on the first team.
Thomson's senior campaign concluded with a 9-3 singles mark in dual matches, as he tied Franco Ribero for the most wins in the spring. He also racked up a 7-2 record in doubles with partner Ilgiz Valiev on the third court.
The 2020 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 16-19.
