Red Raiders Wrap Day One in Dallas

FRISCO, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team concluded the first day of play in Dallas with four wins in their three-team tournament with Oklahoma and Texas on Friday.
Tech began their second of 10 scheduled fall events with doubles action as senior Parker Wynn made his season debut for the Red Raiders by picking up a win with sophomore partner Reed Collier against Texas' Spirizzi and Holden at 8-2. Tech also notched a doubles victory via the pairing of sophomore Connor Johnson and junior Isaac Arevalo versus Harper and McDonald of Texas at an 8-6 clip.
Arevalo carried momentum into singles play with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over McDonald of Texas on court four. Johnson also picked up a win with a 7-6, 5-7, 10-7 effort over Leighton Allen of the Longhorns.
The Red Raiders will return to action with a pair of rounds in doubles and one in singles on Saturday.
