Cross Country Recap: Red Raiders Wrap up Arturo Barrios Invitational

The Big 12 Championships are set to take place on Friday, Oct. 29 in Stillwater
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas Tech men's and women's cross country teams concluded its final regular season meet of the year at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course Saturday morning.Â

On the women's side, Halena Rahmaan paced the squad coming in 18th overall with a 6k time of 21:02.9. The time becomes a new personal and course best as she registered a time of 22:20.6 last year at the meet. In each regular season meet this year, Rahmaan has placed inside the top 44.Â

Edward Rush paced the men's side coming in 60th as he clocked in an 8k time of 24:46.5 for a new personal mark. Last season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, Rush registered a time 25:01.3.Â

In the team standings, the men placed 17th out of 32 teams, while the women finished 19th out of 33 programs.Â
