Lauren Zaretsky signed with Texas Tech as one of the top signees hailing from her native Canada
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech women's golf coach JoJo Robertson announced Tuesday her second signee in the 2022 class as Lauren Zaretsky signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Red Raiders for the 2022-23 season.
"We are excited to have Lauren joining our team in August," Robertson said. "We love her energy and enthusiasm and know that she will make an immediate impact in our program. Lauren is a hard worker and proven winner, and we can't wait to get her on campus."
A native of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, Zaretsky has played in several of the top amateur events throughout her native country. She is the reigning champion of both the Ontario Junior Spring Classic and the Canadian Women's Amateur, the final one of which featured a strong field she bested by two strokes.
Zaretsky also has top-10 finishes this year at the Golf Ontario Women's Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championship as well as the Canadian Junior Girls Championship. She's been a member of Team Canada for several of the top international events in the country as well.
Zaretsky joins fellow 2022 signee Shannon Tan, who inked with the Red Raiders back in November. Both future Red Raiders will enroll at the university next summer.
