Women's Golf unveils 2026-27 schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech women's golf head coach JoJo Robertson announced the program's 2026-27 schedule on Wednesday, which will consist of 10 regular-season tournaments with four fall events and six in the spring leading into postseason play. The schedule also includes the Red Raider Invitational at The Rawls Course for the fourth consecutive year.
Texas Tech will host the Red Raider Invitational, Sept. 22-23. The Red Raiders have won each of the previous three editions of the tournament. Maja Ambroziak claimed the individual title as a freshman in 2023, while Lauren Zaretsky, who graduated after last season, earned medalist honors in 2025. Kent State's Veronika Kedronová won the individual title in 2024, with Klara Hurtova finishing runner-up that season. Ambroziak and Hurtova will both be seniors in this year's edition.
The tournament opens Tuesday (Sept. 22) with the first two rounds before concluding on Wednesday (Sept. 23) with the final round.
The Red Raiders will play three of their four fall events in the Lone Star State, including their home tournament, and travel out of state once for the Illini Invitational at Medinah, Oct. 12-13, where Texas Tech has competed each of the past two seasons.
The second half of the schedule features trips to Boca Raton, Florida, two trips to Tucson, Arizona, and a visit to Las Vegas Country Club for the Lady Luck Invitational in March. The Lady Luck Invitational will serve as a preview of the Big 12 Championship, which will be contested there April 21-23.
As usual, the NCAA Regionals will be contested at six sites in 2027: Aiken, South Carolina (Old Barnwell); Dallas, Texas (Trinity Forest Golf Club); Fort Wayne, Indiana (Sycamore Hills Golf Club); Franklin, Tennessee (Vanderbilt Legends Club); Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (PGA National Resort); and Stanford, California (Stanford Golf Course). All six sites will host postseason competition May 10-12, with the top five teams from each regional advancing to the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, for the fourth consecutive year. The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee will announce the regional fields April 28.
Texas Tech will seek its second consecutive NCAA Championship appearance after making its fifth all-time appearance in the national championship in 2026. The Red Raiders' previous appearance came in 2023, the final year the event was held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, before moving to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Texas Tech made its first appearance at Omni La Costa in 2026 and will look to return to Carlsbad for a second consecutive year when the 2027 NCAA Championships are held May 21-26.
