Texas Tech to Travel to Baylor for Top 20 Match Up

No. 19 Red Raiders will face No. 3 Bears Saturday
LUBBOCK - The No.19Â Texas Tech men's tennis team will head to Waco to face Big 12 Conference foe, and in-state rival, No.3 Baylor this Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center.

The Red Raiders come into the contest after defeating No. 18 Oklahoma State in Stillwater last week. Tech was able to secure the doubles point in the close contest, with the match coming down to court three and junior Franco Ribero. After winning the first set 6-4 and losing in the second set 4-6, Ribero fought to a third set tiebreaker where he was able to lock in the win for the Red Raiders, raising their season record to 12-3 and 1-1 in conference play.Â

The Bears (23-3, 2-0) are in the midst of a seven match win streak, most recently completing a sweep of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The Bears are paced by fifth-year senior Constantin Frantzen who is two doubles wins away of tying the all-time mark.
