KJ Adams, Kenna Sauer and Camryn Specia will be part of the roster for the 2021 season.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech volleyball head coach Tony Graystone has announced the addition of transfers KJ Adams, Kenna Sauer and Camryn Specia to the 2021 Red Raider roster.
"We are very happy to welcome Kenna, KJ and Camryn to Texas Tech and can't wait to get started with them in August," said Graystone. "This is a strong group of transfers that will definitely impact our team and make us better."
Graystone on KJ Adams:
"KJ was the starting libero for Grand Canyon University last season and was the WAC Defensive Player of the Year. I really like her skill set and how she takes control of the back row. She understands what makes a great libero and she's going to push for a big role right away."
Graystone on Kenna Sauer:
"Kenna switched positions and became a starting middle blocker for Missouri last season. We really value players with Kenna's versatility and she's a perfect fit for how we train and utilize players like her that can play multiple positions. She's a physical player that works very hard and wants to be involved in every play. There's no doubt Kenna will be an impact player for our team."
Graystone on Camryn Specia:
"Camryn was one of the best JUCO outside hitters in the country last season and gives us an experienced point scorer. She has a big arm, knows how to finish points and is very competitive, so she checks all the boxes for us."
Adams, Sauer and Specia will join UTEP transfer Alexandra Torres and freshmen Maddie Correa and Madison Gilliland as the newcomers on the 2021 Red Raider roster. Correa, Gilliland and Torres came to Lubbock in January but did not play during the spring season.
