Texas Tech and KU will tip at 4 p.m. from Allen Fieldhouse
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Â The Texas Tech Lady Raiders close out a two-game road swing Saturday afternoon, when they face the Kansas Jayhawks Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
Tech has won three in a row over KU and six of the last seven overall.

The Lady Raiders dropped a heartbreaking 51-50 game at TCU Wednesday night. In that game, the Lady Raiders enjoyed a 47-41 lead with 5:38 to play, and had a two point (50-48) advantage with just under 15 seconds to play, but a pair of missed free throws opened the door for the Horned Frogs. On the ensuing TCU possession, a deflected pass rolled right to Aja Holmes with nailed a triple with 0.4 seconds left. After a pair of timeouts, head coach Krista Gerlich called the perfect in bounds play that found a cutting Taylah Thomas wide open under the basket, but Thomas' layup off the glass bounced around the rim and just out.
In defeat, Faye scored a game-high 18 points on 9-of-19 shooting. The forward added nine rebounds, three steals and a trio of blocks. The only other Lady Raider in double-figures was Thomas who ended up with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Â
SCOUTING THE JAYHAWKS:
KU enters Saturday's matchup having lost back-to-back games against Baylor and Kansas State. Against the Bears, KU got off to an early 20-14 lead after one, but Baylor out scored KU 27-16 in the second period. KU was done in, in the game against Baylor by a combined 13 triples from Sarah Andrews and Ja'Mee Asberry. On Wednesday the Jayhawks fell behind by 16 points with 5:57 to go in the game, but used an 8-0 run to draw to within 54-46 with 4:13 to play. After KSU add a free throw to go up 55-46, KU used an 11-2 run to even the score at 59 all with 2:21 to play. But K-State locked in and outscored KU 10-0 down the stretch to hold on for a 69-61 victory. Holly Kersgieter is KU's leading scorer this season and is averaging 14.4 points per game, while Zakiyah Franklin is averaging 11.1. Franklin is an impressive 45-of-50 from the line, while Kersgieter has hit a team-best 27 triples in just 14 games.
