Kim Kaufman advances to Q-Series Qualifying Tournament

The former Red Raider finished tied for 18th at Stage II of the Q-Series
VENICE, Fla. – Former Texas Tech women's golfer Kim Kaufman has advanced to the Q-Series Qualifying Tournament after finishing tied for 18th during the second stage of the LPGA Tour Qualifying School hosted by Plantation Golf and Country Club this past weekend.
Kaufman finished at +2 overall after firing rounds of 72, 73, 69 and 76.
The next step for the 2012 graduate of Texas Tech and former No. 1 golfer in the country will be a week at the Magonlia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.
After spending time in Mobile, Kaufman will next make the short drive to Highland Oaks in Dothan, Ala., for the second qualifying event.
Players that finish inside the top-20 will be granted full LPGA status. Players that finish inside the top-45 will earn partial LPGA status and full Epson Tour status. All other entrants in the 2022 LPGA Q-Series will earn full Epson Tour Status.
Kafuman originally qualified for full membership on the LPGA Tour back in 2014 and spent five seasons on the top-professional tour in women's golf. After losing her tour card due to injury in 2019, Kafuman will look to regain her full status in Alabama next month.
