Red Raiders add Mario Martinez

Martinez will join Tech this fall
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis program and head coach Danny Whitehead announced the signing of Mario Martinez on Thursday afternoon.
Martinez currently ranks in the top 10 of the U18 Spanish rankings. The ITF Singles J4 Champion, Martinez is currently ranked No. 78 overall in the Spanish open.
"We are very excited about Mario joining our team next year. We have really enjoyed getting to know him and watching him compete in tournaments," Whitehead said. "He has strong results in tournaments, and we believe his game is built well to develop these next 4-5 years. We can't wait to get him in the Red and Black and get to work with him."
A native of Zaragoza Spain, Martinez will join the Red Raiders this fall.
