Red Raiders move up in latest poll

The Red Raiders recorded a pair of top 2 world leading marks this past weekend
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Texas Tech track and field team moved up a few sports in the fourth installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll released Monday afternoon.
The men's squad jumped back into the top five coming in this week ranked No. 4, while the women's team jumped to No. 6. Last week, both squads were ranked No. 7.
Tech is coming off a weekend in which half of the team was in a California for the Mt. Sac Relays, while the other half went to Florida for the Tom Jones Memorial. In Florida, four school records went down Saturday afternoon, starting with Demisha Roswell in the 100 hurdles, followed by Gabe Oladipo (hammer throw), Moad Zahafi (800), and Rosemary Chukwuma (100).
Later that evening on the west coast, Monae' Nichols broke her own school record in the long jump and created a new wind-aided mark in the same event.
