Perfect Game adds to Tech's All-America selections

LUBBOCK, Texas – Perfect Game unveiled that three Red Raiders were among its selections to its All-America and Freshman All-America teams, released on Wednesday afternoon. It included Brandon Birdsell, Jace Jung and Hudson White, a trio that is adding to a collection of accolades already received this postseason.
These are the sixth, seventh and eighth All-America honors, respectively, for the Red Raiders following the 2022 season.
Jung was named to Perfect Game's first-team All-America team. It is Jung's third All-America honor in 2022, and second on Wednesday alone after the NCBWA named him a first-team selection earlier in the day. Collegiate Baseball pegged Jung as a second-team All-American on June 2.
Birdsell picked up third-team All-America honors from Perfect Game. It's Birdsell's second career All-America honor after Collegiate Baseball named him to its second team.
White was named a first-team freshman All-American on Wednesday, his second freshman all-America honor of the 2022 postseason.
Jung and Birdsell's selections to the Perfect Game All-America teams represent the ninth and 10th selections for Texas Tech since 2016 by the organization. White is the fourth Red Raider to be named to Perfect Game's Freshman All-America teams since 2016, joining Davis Martin (2017), Josh Jung (2017) and Gabe Holt (2018).
