More All-America honors roll in for Texas Tech duo

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's Brandon Birdsell and Jace Jung, recipients of each All-America team distinction thus far for the Red Raiders, received additional honors from Baseball America and D1Baseball as they announced its respective All-America teams to round out the 2022 teams.
Both Baseball America and D1Baseball tabbed Jung a first team selection which makes him a consensus All-American for the second consecutive season. The sophomore infielder previously picked up first team recognition from NCBWA and Perfect Game while Collegiate Baseball pegged him to its second team and the ABCA slotted him to its third team. In addition to on the field success, Jung was honored by CoSIDA for the second-straight year as an Academic first team All-American earlier this summer.
Birdsell was named a third team All-American by D1Baseball, marking his fourth All-American nod of 2022. He was chosen as a second team All-American twice and now a third teamer twice – each his first respective honors of his collegiate career.
