Golf closes out day one of “Mo” Morial

The Red Raiders sit tied for eighth after 36 holes
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas Tech women's golf program finished the first two rounds of the "Mo" Morial Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at the Traditions Golf Club.
Following 36 holes of play, the Red Raiders sit tied for eighth.
Junior Gala Dumez rebounded from an opening round 75 to pace the Red Raiders. Dumez fired a sub-par round of 71, to sit at +2 overall (tied for 22nd).
The University of Texas leads after firing a team score of -14 overall, while host Texas A&M sits at -11.
Florida is the lone other team to finish day one under par, as the Gators sit at -7 overall which is good for third place.
Miami is 10 shots back at +3 overall, followed by North Carolina (+4), Houston (+5) and SMU (+10).
Tech and North Texas are tied at +12 overall followed by 10th place UTSA (+13). Kansas (+23), Charlotte (+23), Kansas State (+27) and Texas State (+31).

Texas Tech closes play at the event tomorrow morning teeing off from holes 8-10 at 8:00 a.m. The Red Raiders will play with SMU and North Texas.
