
Dumez shines again at Carmel Cup

The junior is in solo fourth at -3 overall after 36 holes
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The No. 24 ranked Texas Tech women's golf program closed out day two action at the 2022 Carmel Cup hosted by the Pebble Beach Golf Club.
As she did in Friday's opening round, Gala Dumez led the way for the Red Raiders, using a birdie on 18 to fire a one-under round of 70. Dumez enters the third and final round on Sunday in solo fourth place.
The Red Raiders enter the final round in sixth place with a team score of +29 (749).
After 36 holes of play, No. 1 Stanford (-7) leads by nine shots over Texas A&M (+2). Oklahoma State is in solo third place with a team score of +16 with Arkansas one shot back at +17 overall.
Mississippi State fired a team score of +3 on Saturday and sits in fifth at +23 overall. Oklahoma (+36) and Vanderbilt (+40) round out the eight-team field.
Rose Zhang of Stanford is the 36-hole leader at -13. She leads the 18 holder leader Jennie Park of Texas A&M by five shots.
