LUBBOCK, Texas – After spending a week on the road, Texas Tech welcomes in Abilene Christian for a home midweek tilt Wednesday at Rocky Johnson Field.

First pitch against the Wildcats is set for 6 p.m. The contest will be aired on ESPN+.

The Red Raiders (25-8) are coming into the midweek tilt hot off a trio of consecutive ranked wins after downing No. 25 Texas State in a doubleheader and splitting with No. 22 Maryland. It marked just the third time in program history that Tech earned three straight ranked wins.

Ellie Bailey led the red-hot Tech offense after batting above .400 with five home runs. She led the Big 12 during week six in RBIs, home runs and total bases.

ACU checks into the midweek tilt at 6-23 and 0-3 in WAC play after falling in all three games of the series again Utah Tech this past week. Sammie Shelander led the Wildcat offense with a pair of home runs in the series finale against Utah Tech Sunday.

In the circle, Talia Nielsen and Riley White split the majority of work. Nielsen is boasting a 5.30 ERA while White holds a 7.55 ERA. The duo has combined for 65 strikeouts.

• As just a freshman, Kailey Wyckoff is quickly making a name for herself. Coming into the week, the Katy, Texas native ranks eighth nationally in triples (four), 21st in slugging percentage (.846), seventh in total bases (77), 16th in doubles (10) and 28th in batting average (.451).
• Head Coach Craig Snider has been quotes many times saying that "the sign of a good offense is hitting doubles," and his Red Raiders have mastered the craft. Texas Tech ranks second in the nation with 66 doubles.
• On a pitching staff that all eight hurlers are seen, transfer Sage Hoover leads the way with 64.0 innings of work, a 2.19 ERA and 70 strikeouts. The righty holds an 12-0 record, ranking seventh nationally in victories.
