Zaretsky T2, as Tech closes Day Two of Carmel Cup

The sophomore is -7 for the week, three off the lead
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Powered by a second round 69, sophomore Lauren Zaretsky sits tied for second after two rounds of the Carmel Cup hosted by Mississippi State and the Pebble Beach Golf Club.
The strong round of three-under par by Zarestky was capped by an eagle on the iconic 18th hole.
As a team, the Red Raiders had a strong day, shooting just two-over par as a team as three of the Red Raiders five counting scores were under par.
Senior Gala Dumez had the second-best round, using a bogey-free 32 to finish one-under par for the day.
As a team the Red Raiders sit in seventh at +15.
Stanford on the backs round of 67 from Paula Martin Sampedro and 68 from individual leader Megha Ganne lead by one stroke (-14) over Arkansas (-13).
Texas A&M fired a second-round best team score of 350 to vault to -6 overall, eight shots clear Mississippi State (+2).
Oklahoma State (+13) sits is sixth, two shot clear of Texas Tech.
Oklahoma sits in eighth place at +38 overall.
