The unbeaten Red Raiders will face a ranked opponent for the first time in 2023
AUSTIN – No. 25 Texas Tech heads to Austin on Thursday night for an in-state showdown at No. 14 Texas, Thursday night from the Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field.

Thursday's matchup will feature two of the best offensive teams and many of top offensive players in the country.

UT enters the week with 40 total assists on their nation's leading 39 goals, while Tech checks in at No. 13 in the country in goals (27) and No. 2 in the country in assists (36). Tech and UT are the only two teams in the country to record 35 or more assists this season.

The Longhorns are led this season offensively by midfielder Lexi Missimo and forward Trinity Byars. The former No. 1 recruit in the country, Missimo has tallied 12 goals and 15 assists to lead the country in points (39) by an astounding 11. Her teammate Byars is third in the country in points (27) after recording 10 goals and seven assists through the first 9 matches.
