"Red Raider Basketball with Grant McCasland" returns Thursday

LUBBOCK, Texas – "Red Raider Basketball with Grant McCasland" returns for its much talked about fourth edition, going live from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, at Rudy's Country Store and BBQ. The No. 20 Red Raiders (15-3, 4-1 Big 12) have taken the nation by storm by winning 10 of their last 11 games and are now primed to play against No. 11 Oklahoma at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Norman, Oklahoma after earning a comeback win over BYU last week.Â
The fourth of five episodes this season, this week's show will feature McCasland and a special guest appearance from assistant coach Luke Barnwell. Tech is starting a two-game road trip but will be back in Lubbock to host Cincinnati on Saturday, February 3 at United Supermarkets Arena. Though limited, tickets do remain available for home games at this link.Â
"Red Raider Basketball with Grant McCasland" is hosted weekly by Geoff Haxton on the Texas Tech Sports Network, and can be found via 17 stations across the state, locally in the Lubbock area each week on Double T 97.3 FM and on the Varsity Network app. The show will feature McCasland breaking down the season and upcoming games along with guest appearances from assistant coaches and players. Fans also have an opportunity to have their questions answered by submitting them in-person at Rudy's along with online at @GeoffHaxton or @GunsUpRadio on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rudy's, which is located at 4930 South Loop 289, is the home for Red Raider Basketball with Grant McCasland on Thursdays and the Krista Gerlich show on Mondays. The next show is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 1, two nights before Tech hosts Cincinnati. Â
Thursday's show will recap the start of Big 12 that includes last Saturday's win over BYU where the Red Raiders overcame a 16-point halftime deficit and won 85-78. Pop Isaacs led the way, scoring a career-high 32 points while Warren Washington had a season-high 19 points to go along with nine rebounds. The show on Thursday night will preview the Big 12 road game against the Sooners who are coming off a home loss to Texas on Tuesday following wins over West Virginia and Cincinnati.  Â
