2023-24 (Super-Senior):
PRIOR TO TECH: Earned Pac-12 All-Defensive Team in the 2022-23 season at Arizona State and has 841 points, 569 rebounds and 111 blocked shots in his collegiate career... A 7-foot, 225-pound forward, Washington has one year of eligibility remaining after arriving in Lubbock with previous experience at Oregon State, Nevada and last year at Arizona State... Washington is coming off a season at Arizona State where he averaged 9.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks for the Sun Devils who advanced to the NCAA Tournament. He started 34 games last season at ASU and led the team by shooting 56.3 percent from the field along with his rebounding and blocks averages. He scored a season-high 21 points against USC in January and had a career-best 14 rebounds in a win over Texas Southern. He would also establish a career-high in blocks with five against San Diego... In the 2023 NCAA Tournament, Washington had nine points, five rebounds and four assists in a first-round win over Nevada before contributing 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in a two-point loss to TCU in Denver... Washington began his collegiate career at Oregon State during the 2018-19 season where he would play in 27 games as a reserve. He would average 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 points during that season before deciding to transfer for the first time and finding himself at Nevada... Redshirted the 2019-20 season before playing two seasons at Nevada where he would average in double-figure scoring for two seasons... As a sophomore, Washington went for 10.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game before averaging 10.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in the 2021-22 season... Arrives at Texas Tech having made 80 career starts and having played in 109 games.
