ITA Texas Regionals up next for Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders travel to Fort Worth, Texas to compete at the ITA Texas Regional tournament hosted by the TCU Horned Frogs on Oct. 10-14.
The Lady Raiders competing at regionals are Elena Daskalova, Mariia Hlahola, Andreea Lila, Yekaterina Dmitrichenko, Avelina Sayfetdinova and Arina Oreshchenkova. Daskalova will get things started on Thursday in the qualifying singles draw with everyone else to follow in the main draws beginning on Friday.
Tech is coming off the ACU Invitational where Daskalova, Oreshchenkova and Hlahola all won their singles flights. In addition, Oreshchenokva and Hlahola teamed up in doubles and advanced to their flight finals. Currently, Oreshchenkova leads the team with a 5-1 singles record, followed by Daskalova and Hlahola with four wins each. In doubles, Hlahola leads the way with a 5-1 record as four Lady Raiders also total three doubles wins apiece in Sayfetdinova, Lila, Oreshchenkova and Jermine Sherif.
Two singles players and one doubles team will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in November – the two singles finalists and the doubles champions.
