Red Raiders in the NFL | Regular Season Week 12, Nov. 21-25
LUBBOCK, Texas – While week 12 was coined "Bye-mageddon" by many with six teams observing an off-week, it affected just two former Red Raiders in the NFL while seven others were active around the league. Veteran signal-caller Patrick Mahomes had another Patrick Mahomes moment late in the Chiefs game as he willed his team to victory, on the other hand, rookie Dadrion Taylor-Demerson had a standout performance leading the Cardinals in tackles in his second straight start.
A complete list of week 12 statistics and season statistics by former Red Raiders in the NFL is below.
ARIZONA CARDINALS at Seattle Seahawks (L, 16-6)
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (2019-23): In his second-straight career start, Taylor-Demerson led the Cardinals in tackles with nine (three solo) along with one TFL and one pass breakup in the road loss to the division foe Seahawks.
DL Broderick Washington Jr. (2016-19): Washington Jr. recorded his third start of the season, accounting for 35 snaps on a defensive line that helped force four sacks in the road win dubbed the "Harbaugh Bowl".
OL Terence Steele (2016-19): Steele made his 11th-straight start of the season as the Cowboys snapped their five-game losing streak on the road, scoring 24 points alone in the final quarter.
DE Myles Cole (2022-23): Cole and the Jaguars were one of six teams on a bye during week 12.
QB Patrick Mahomes II (2014-16): Mahomes and the Chiefs narrowly escaped the home Panthers using a time-expiring field goal from 31 yards to walk away victorious. After the Panthers tied it on a one-yard run from Chubba Hubbard with 1:46 remaining, Mahomes orchestrated a seven-play 57-yard drive to set up kicker Spencer Shrader for the 31-yard boot. Mahomes was second on the team in rush yards with 60 as he scrambled on one play for 33 yards on the final drive to set up the game-winning kick three plays later – the second-longest play for the Chiefs that afternoon.
DE Tyree Wilson (2020-22): Wilson registered four tackles (1 solo) along with the only sack – a loss of 11 yards – for the Raiders Sunday afternoon as he accounted for a total of 39 snaps (nine on special teams).
LB Jordyn Brooks (2016-19): For a third-straight week, Brooks has led the Dolphins in tackles, this time registering nine (seven solo) along with one TFL and one fumble recovery in the win over AFC East rival New England. Brooks has started each game for Miami. Overall, he leads the team in tackles with 95, 35 more than the next defender.
LB Sam Eguavoen (2011-14): Eguavoen and the Jets were one of six teams on a bye during week 12.
DB Tyler Owens (2022-23): Owens only saw playing time on special teams, recording 30 snaps.
